Hey all,
Today will be my 5th day WITHOUT any gas at home!!
Thats 5 days without hot water, cooking facilities or heating!
As far as gas suppliers go i think i will be changing ASAP.
And so far for all this inconvineance and mucking around they have offerd £15 worth of free gas which is a joke as i have spent £26 on 2 new top up cards and a £10 top up.
I am not a happy bunny.

Why have you got no gas???
You buying top up cards & credit suggests it may not be a failure in the supply."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Its a failure in the meter itself, but on fri/sat/sun morning no one told me that 5 dashes on the front means machine fault.
Then sun night the lady i spoke to told me that 5 dashes is machine fault so we need an engineer.
They were supposed to call monday night to let us know when an engineer would be out but they didnt call. so i phoned at 2230 when i got home from work and aparently the engineers in our area had worked there aloted hours so we couldnt have anyone out until this evening.
But i shall wait and see if they turn up!0 -
I think you can get £20 for each missed appointment, I read it on another post so not sure of the rules regarding it.0

Responding to the failure of a Prepayment Meter
If the consumer reports that a prepayment meter has broken, is not taking the correct amount for debt or the credit they have bought does not transfer properly then the supplier must send an appropriate person to repair or replace the meter within 4 hours on any day if notified between 8 am and 8 pm on a weekday and 9 am and 5 pm on any other day.
The standard applies regardless of how much credit the consumer has available.

I'd also get rid of the prepayment meter. This situation should only go to prove to you that you have no control over things if the meter breaks - you are reliant on your supplier coming out to fix it. If they don;t, you don;t have any power0
