Replaster 3 bedroom house

We recently bought a 3 bedroom 1950s terrace house and have had it all rewired and a new bathroom put in.
While the wiring was being done and the kitchen ripped out we noticed that the plaster was in a terrible state and is really being held up by about 3 layers of wallpaper in each room.
We asked the builders who were there remodelling the bathroom to quote for the job (including decorating afterwards) and they have said GBP5,000.
This would be to strip the wallpaper from all walls and ceilings in kitchen, 3 bedrooms, hall, stairs and landing, living room and dining room, remove curtain rails (we are having blinds instead) and radiators temporarily (so they can get behind), plaster and skim every surface and paint afterwards. They reckon it will take 4-6 weeks.
Does this sound fair?

If materials are included take his hand off. Taking of 3 layers of paper alone is very labour intensive (especially if there is woodchip paper, which i assume at least one layer will be based on age of house and tastes during these years) Plaster materials don't cost a lot but paint costs a small fortune. Get them to put a sample room on first to make sure you are happy with the finish.0 -
Yes, materials are included.0

Yes, materials are included.
In this case quotes fine, To skim a room alone costs between £300-£400 that is with paper already removed. So its £900-£1200 for your bedrooms alone just skimming £500 for yours stairs and hall. Kitchen again £300-£400 Dining room same again, living room same again, bathroom perhap £200-£300
See it soon adds up so roughly just the skimming excersice about £2500-£3100 (inc mats) Leaves between £2500 and £1900 to prep before plastering and decoration. Quotes Good - I don't think I would have got this job if I was quoting, but does depend where you live I suppose.
As I said before though get them to do a sample room first and check the quality
