How does balance transfer work???Please Help

Hi All,

I have £1200 on my barclaycard, have just checked the statement and the 9 months is up at the end of this month..

I want to transfer the balance to another 0% card ...but who is best for this (bearing in my mind that I dont use the card for anything at all) and how do you arrange the transfer?

Is it case of phoning Barclaycard and telling them to send the balance to so and so or have I got it completely wrong?

Normally you would apply for another credit card with a different credit card and as part of the application form it asks if you have balances to transfer.

Have a look at some of the articles on the left under 'Credit Cards' you should look for a card with a 0% period (many have 9 months) and no BT fees. Hope this helps.
