Direct Debits are reviewed after every quarterly bill as well as annually.

Payments will be adjusted automatically if it looks as though your account will be in debt/credit by more than a few quid by the spring review.

Not sure why your Direct Debit is as low as £12 when there's a debit balance on the account. I suspect it has something to do with the date of the annual review.

Was the account in credit when the Direct Debit was first lowered to £12? If it was, could be the credit was taken into account when re-setting the payments.

Thanks Malc - yes in January it was in credit £58 when they first lowered dd to £12. I have just had a March bill & I am now £70 in debit. I expected it to go back up but they have left it at £12. My annual review is normally June when I expect it will increase substantially. I was a bit annoyed because when they changed it back in Sept 09, I asked CS if they could set it at £50 and not change it. She said she would put a note on my a/c, but it had no effect. I'm now reconciled to accept whatever Eon's system says my dd will be, so thanks for offering, but I'm ok ta
