Hi All
I've just been given a letter from my company stating that I am at risk of redundancy. I know it's more than a risk and within a month I will be gone. Who is going to want to employ someone that is pregnant?

Get advice/a solicitor asap. If you are pregnant, the employer has some extra hoops to jump through & under the sex discrimination act has certain duties to you.
Do you have legal protection on your home insurance or car insurance? If so, that will provide you with access to a solicitor on this matter.
You need legal advice urgently as there are strict time limits for acting...It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
I agree the Op should get advice but really all the employer has to do (if in fact she is made redundant) is be able to prove that the redundancy did not affect her because of her preganancy.
OP, can you provide more detail - are others potentially affected or are you the only one?Go round the green binbags. Turn right at the mouldy George Elliot, forward, forward, and turn left....at the dead badger0 -
Basically what they have said is that I am risk of redundancy and that we will have a meeting next week. It is going to happen I know it.
They are shutting down our other office, which has the sales guys in it, but that is because they are not reaching their targets.
There are only 5 of us in the company now. CEO, MD, me and 2 sales guys.0
