My DD3 is 5 and she is exactly the same - she won't wear jeans at all and if she is allowed to dress herself she will go for the one and only 'posh' dress she owns. I promissed to buy her a new dress for a party last week- she keeps growing (think I should stop feeding her!) and she had to try on every dress in Asda to see which was the most twirly!!!! opting for a pink shiney one - but then decided she needed high heels to go with it! she watches her big sisters way too much!0

Why do you feel sick sally?
...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -
pmsl sammy...why are they soooo stubborn! I would personally put clothes out for her, say get yourself dressed and make her do it to a timer as a game...if she gets stroppy let her choose something and grin and bare it.
I do, but she never wants to wear what I put out for her...Fingers crossed, although in a way its good she already has a sense of her own identity (not helpful when trying to get ready in the morning I'm sure:p)
so i usually let her wear what she wants. DD1 goes mad and I do sometimes feel like sticking a notice on her saying 'I dressed myself today'
DD1 was totally the same.....must dig out some pictures of her and stick em on facebook pmsl.....

Buffy why don't you do really nice sandwiches..cheap but easy (ham, egg, salmon, etc etc with the crusts cut off) mini quiches, brucheta, you can then do fairy cakes, profriterols,
Night Pap, have you heard anything from work?
yep, might buy some sort of posh bread......Hi Buffy - it would depend how much stuff you want. I would normally do some french bread or crackers with cheese or pate. some salad. home made coleslaw and potato salads. Crisps and dips that sort of thing. My kids love this kind of tea - not very cheap though!
Will do salad, will probably buy coleslaw and potato salad:o.Well when I had family round for Nathans I did 1 type of sandwuch, 1 type of wrap (mango chicken), mini crackers with pastrami, sausage rolls, potato salad, crisps and dip, meringues and fruit and birthday cake.
Fairy cakes can be kept in an airtight container for a couple of days then iced when you want them. Or buy a pack of plain fairy cakes and ice them...
think I might buy a packet mix for fairy cakes, will do meringues and fruit. perhaps go v seventies and have pineapple and cheese
:o and scotch eggs!
I also quoted Beanie! but its not here! the hilarious thing is there is only four of us !
Sis is going to get birthday cake.
thanks for the suggestions have copied and pasted to my list for THursday
xxxxxNevertheless she persisted.0 -

Wasn't he in Bros?
Is the TV screen glass? If it wont scratch, you could use a washing up scourer thing (not a metal Brillo Pad one - the yellow sponges with the green stuff on top?). They bring paint off hard surfaces quite gently as long as you don't press on too hard.
Not sure if it's not a glass screen though."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
