BG one-off boiler repair rip off
Options
The advertisement for a British Gas one off boiler repair states "no exclusions" and "one year guarantee on all work", until you hand over the money that is. After payment and repair I was told my boiler was too old and the repair would only be guaranteed for 28 days. There were exclusions, and after complaining this was taken out of the advertisement. British Gas ADMITTED that I had been misled. No refund would be given. This is just legalised deception. Has anyone else been caught out with this one? No exclusions means "no exclusions" and all work guaranteed for one year means "all work guaranteed for one year".

If there is no refund, then the work should be guaranteed for a year. I would write keeping a copy, saying that you will hold them to their guarantee. Do this now, as a pre emptive measure. Hopefully, the work will stay good, but if it doesn't, then you will find it helpful if you have a fight on your hands.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
