Which year's ISA allowance?

I opened an A & L cash ISA a few weeks ago and have been putting money in when able.
My question is, I want to move my savings from my current bank into my ISA but if I make the transfer from my account but it I request the transfer but the funds aren't cleared by the end of the financial year, which year would it count against for my ISA allowance?

I currently manage a Housing Benefit service and have been working in Housing / council tax benefit (as was) since 2001.

the end of the tax year is 5th April. As this is easter weekend you would be relying on either a FP or hoping for an unusually quick BACS transfer. if it clears anytime after Thursday 1st April then I would expect it to go into 2010-2011 allowanceDebts at LBM (May '08) £5760 - Lloyds CC £4260, Lloyds OD £1500;Debts as of May 28th 2011:Santander CC: £0.00Lloyds OD : £0.00DFW Nerd #1247 - Proudly dealt with my Debts

Have you a current account with A&L? If so, can you FP from your other account into your A&L account, then into your ISA? I did a transfer from A&L current to ISA today and it was instant (I could hardly believe my eyes when a transaction actually showed up instantly with A&L's on-line banking!)0

This may not help if you follow the above advise but, if you give a cheque up to the 1st, it will count as this year ... you probable wont be paid any interest for it until the cheque clears.0
