Bill payments...should I chase?

I recently purchased my flat though a shared ownership scheme and now I own it 100% but am still require to pay service charge per month as well as electricity.

Now the property company who I originally paid my part rent and service charge have sent me a letter stating I own the property and they will notify and charge me a revised debit amount per month for my service charge.

I have emailed/wrote to them to indicate what the new payment will be, but have had no response at all.

It has been over two months now and nothing has been sent, I just wanted to know if I should chase this up again? and will they charge me for the missing two months not paid? am I obliged to chase the property company up?

also ask for a copy of the yearly s/charge budget, which afaik all leaseholders should get in advance anyway..?

also check your lease, to see what share ('apportionment'?) of the total costs is, and for each item - some may have exclusions, eg basement flat with separate door should not have to pay for main door entry system!)

Please please chase this otherwise you'll be coming back on here in a couple of years complaining that your being charged for a few years worth of payments which you probably can't afford. Definately put a little bit of money aside now so when your bill for the next few months comes in you can pay without it being too stressful.

I absolutely hate it when bills are not prompt it throws my money management all out of sync!
