    The whole point of now requiring a separate, accessible, isolation point (which may be an FCU) is to avoid having to pull the machine out to isolate it. I would bet my granny's eyes that the washing machine in question has a plug socket behind it (not an FCU) and no other way to isolate it, short of turning the circuit off. There would be little or no point in putting an FCU behind the machine, instead of a socket, - its still behind the machine!!
