House fire due to lamp!

Hi, I'm looking for some advice from anyone who would know or have been in similar situations etc...
Basically I had quite a bad house fire on Saturday night from a lamp I bought on the Friday night...
The story goes I bought the lamp as I live in quiet a rough area and set it up on a timer to come on for a few hours till I got home from work, I set it to come on at 8pm (with a timer I have used many times before) luckily I had a urge to go home at 8.15pm to check the house, and found it on fire! Thankfully I caught the fire intime for it not to destory the whole house, its mostly the bedroom, hallway and bathroom.
Which means the lamp must have set on fire if not immidiately or very soon after the timer kicked in the power... I've had two electricions take a look at the plug sockets and the lamp which started the fire and both have said 100% it can only have been the lamp due to how the lamp as burnt and in which places.
I've called the shop I bought the lamp from and informed them of what as happened and they are recalling the item incase of faults in other lamps.
I'm just wondering where my legal rights are?
I'm going to citizens advice tomorrow also.

My initial thoughts here are you might have some trouble with it all as it was unattended at the time? If you still have the box, or any instructions etc that might have come with it, see if it recommends that you make sure it is attended.0

Claim on your insurance perhaps and let them deal with it?0

There were absolutely no instructions with the lamp or box we literally bought it off the shelf as it was. Also the lamp didn't randomly catch fire there was a fault that forced it to over heat extremely fast when the fuse should have blown immediately (devastating the up stairs of our house in probably under 10 minutes) so it wouldn't have really mattered if we was there or not I could have just popped down stairs for example, so hopefully it won't make a difference but I'm not getting my hopes up!0

Insurance claim will sort it for you!0
