contributions based jsa: how much do I have to have paid?

hiya
being made redundant on apr 9th, and was wondering how much NI I'd have to have paid to get contributions based JSA? in the two years I was employed, I had 3 months at 16hrs a week so no NI, and then did most of it at 25 hrs a week.

any ideas what the eligibility is?

sorry to dredge up an old thread... was that the actual income for the year, or the amount of NI paid? also, because redundancy was apr 9th, are my years 08/09 & 09/10, or 07/08 & 08/09?

    thanks

    The years I quoted are correct 07/08 & 08/09.

The amount is the earnings required over the year ie. if you were paid at £90 a week in the 08/09 tax year you would be hitting the lower earnings limit.

thanks, just one more thing, if thats ok...
07/08~ from Jan to Sept I was self employed with a class 2 exemptions cert and paid no voluntary NI. my husband got WTaxCred the whole year with me as his dependant. Am I right in thinking I've got 0 contributionsof NI in this period?
Also, would I be eligible for contributions based if I cant find a job before 2nd jan 2011, or is it then too long ago?
