Hi,I'm new to this thread so if this question has been asked and answered before then my apologies.
My partners sister has signed for work with a mystery shopper company that advertised in the local rag. There was no company name just a email address.
She has since been contacted by email to complete a mystery shop on western union money transfer. The company will send her a cheque for 2274 euros which she is to deposit into her bank. After deducting her "wages" of 274 euros she is to transfer the remaining funds via western union to america.
This all sounds incredibly dodgy to me and smacks of money laundering.
    Any views most welcome.
    Thanks

Stay well clear! Anything to do with money transfers is a scam and anything to do with Western Union is a scam.

I got home just in time, so I am also sitting here nice and warm watching Deal or No Deal ;). I know which pub you mean, and it's ok if you want a burger and chips for tea, but with the drink you have to order it knocks about a 1/3 off the fee so I don't blame you for waiting for them to add a bit on.

Now then, I hope you're all sitting down............I just got offered petrol money from RE for an urgent job . I couldn't believe it lol, and although I turned it down I did say to the person that rang me that perhaps they should pay a bit more in the first place and then they wouldn't have so many jobs left at the end of the month!!

I've managed to obtain petrol and parking cost from RE before. You've got to be really pushy though, and adamant that you won't do it unless they increase the fee.

The cheque bounces!!!! Just don't do anything. Tell her to not to deposit the cheque. If the company bothers her tell her to tell them she has changed her mind or some other excuse. Or tell them they have been sussed :D
