Bankrupt now lost flat

ok... i went bankrupt fri my landlord came round today and handed our notice *2 months* he didnt know i was made bankrupt but im never going to be able to rent another flat now without a gurantor which i cant get any suggestions does this show on my credit file streight away?

    probably not straight away, the OR does not tell them so they find out when the creditors tell them which usually means a lag, how long is anybody guess

    Has he actually given notice to leave the property, or are you at the end of your 6 month AST and he has given you a notification that he can give you notice?? (cannot remember what this is called! It has a special name... will look).

    Periodic Tenancy. If the Short Assured tenancy expires and there is no re-newal, both parties automatically enter a Periodic Tenancy which means either party, Tenant or Landlord can sumit a notice to quit (usually 2 months) unless there is information or clause on the Tenancy Agreement contrary to this.

    some cab offices work with local landloards and the cab can even garrentee your depost for u, u pay the cab back a small amount each week till the deposit is paid. so check your cab out as soon as u can. u may have to do a 2 hour money coures as part of the scheame. hope that helps.

    Roses, sounds like you are renting through an agent. Why not just go private. There are hundreds of perfectly legit and trust worthy private landlords you can rent from, absolutely no need to go through agents who'll credit check you and charge you for the privilege, along with a bunch of other bull crap fees they'll make you pay.
