welcome ppi help needed

i got a car from ucan car credit 4 years ago and was sold ppi and shortfall insurance, a piece of paper was shoved under my nose and was told you can have shortfall and ppi or shortfall, ppi and exteended warranty, and was given no other option (my lender ended up being welcome). now i have made a claim with empire claims, and when they have contacted them they have said that there was no ppi on my policy even though i was charged (loan was about 7000 and payments were 299.74 over 48 months) but i now have no doccuments from them,
please help where do i stand, i feel that if i ask them for a copy they will doctor them:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

    Hi there & welcome

I would in your case request a Subject Access Request (SAR), they have 40 days to comply and send all they hold on you.
Do you still have the account number?
If so then on the SAR letter write that account number down so they can track your details down.
You can as well track down your account number - if for instance you were paying this back monthly out of your bank, it should be shown next to the monthly loan repayments.
    SAR letter template here:

I would request this info from your lender who should have the main of your details, but when it comes to reclaiming you do this through the ones who set this up for you.

Post all letters by recorded delivery.

Where they have 40 days to comply for the SAR
Its 8 weeks on the reclaiming side of it.

Hope this helps, please keep us posted and ask for help if required, good luck.
