Hi

This is my first post on this forum, so please bear with me.
I recently bought a laptop case, and inside were two discs. I emailed the person that I had purchased the case, and ha said not to worry, but to keep or get rid.
Anyway I had to have someone come in to look at my laptop, and I showed him the discs, and he told me that they should not be in my possession.

The discs are Microsoft/Partner program, - Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 service Pack 2

and
Microsoft OneNote 2003, this disc is either bronze or gold, it is so shiny I cannot tell.

Can anyone tell me anything about them please
TIA

They are just very old original discs with Microsoft software on them, no big deal, just bin them if you have no use for them.

Don't worry about them. What the person told you is slightly misleading, in that people can only receive these CDs from MS if they have a certain type of support contract with MS.

Contrary to what some people seem to believe, Microsoft do not make the laws of this or any other country, and it is not illegal for them to be in your possession. You can quite happily continue to keep the CDs, or throw them away or, better still, recycle them if you know of anywhere that recycles CDs.
