Need for speed cancelled 'lack of stock blamed'. Also got the email asking for confirmation of payment details. However, as part of my second order has been processed I've sent them an enquiring email instead of the details they've requested.

Surely if they can't process this order because they need to confirm some payment information....they shouldn't process any others either.

We are validating your order and may contact your credit card issuer to confirm that the details you have provided match exactly the details they currently hold for you. This may take between 1 hour and 2 days. (Usually within 24 hours

I'm going to have to turn my PC off as i think I'm getting obsessed now!

Asides from the Incredibles game going up to £7 plus postage, there is just a blank gap where the Finding Nemo game used to be!

When I placed my order I ordered quite a few oter items aswell, out of curiosity did other people do this or just order the 2 games?

    Many thanks

I responded to their request for credit card holder confirmation and got an immediate response:

"You do not need to contact us again, unless we ask you to, your order will be processed PROVIDED THE INFORMATION YOU HAVE GIVEN US MATCHES THE INFORMATION THAT YOUR CARD ISSUER HOLDS FOR YOU."

So, seeing as my credit card details have been stored and used on their site many times there should be no problem, don't you think

    I'm not holding my breath
  • has anyone else noticed, whe looking at the finding nemo game, it gives the price at £2, but when the 'buy' button is clcked, it brings it up as £7? at least the incredibles is advertised now at £7, but not finding nemo. annoying by woolworths!!

On levels of hopelessness (online only), IME the chart would go something like this:

    Woolworths >>>>>> Carphonewarehouse >>>>> Tesco.

I went into my local Woolies at lunchtime and discovered that in-store Nemo is £5 and Incredibles is £7.
Decided to take a chance and tell them that online they were both £2.
The young lady on the till did a price check and they DID come up at £2, but when she asked the Store Manager, she was told not to sell at that price.

I guess they spotted the error late last night and notified all stores.......

She then tried to place an order for me at that price but failed there too!

Was worth a shot....... and obviously I declined to pay £12 for the two.

Not at all - I have just replied refusing to send my address and name details over email. I blamed Phishing and cyber crime hahaha

I stated that the address was the same as the registered address on my account as was the name..

I told them the issuing bank.

I also stated that these details are registered on their system so they can view them when they like and that they have been used for my previous order..

    Woolworths are muppets.

(tho out of my last 3 orders 2 have been misprices, the gamecube bundle and the F500i :D Haahahahaha)

I'll be VERY surprised if anyone succeeds in receiving either game for £2.

Of all the online misprices I've seen over the last year or so, only HMV have ever honoured one - when they accidentally put Pro Evolution Soccer 5 on pre-order for £14.99 instead of £34.99!

Most other online retailers tend to cancel all the orders and reprice the item.
