Forced to buy two train tickets!!
i sent this email to east midlands train company, what is your opinions:
I bought a ticket from Sheffield to Mansfield Woodhouse and i was going through Nottingham. On the first train i had no problems what so ever. However, on the second train i got told that i had to buy a new ticket because he felt that it was too cheap, dispite sheffield staff saying it is okay and the ticket saying "any route permited". I bought a new ticket eventually. When i look online on YOUR website it says the same price i paid from sheffield to mansfield woodhouse via nottingham. I am sorry but this is absolutly appaling!! being forced to buy two tickets for one journey

The permitted routes are either via Worksop or Nottingham. Your ticket should have been valid.0 -
find out who the chief exec is, send him/her a note snail mail (not email), explain what you did (I don't think YOUR is necessary - best to keep it polite), point out that there was a mistake and that you would like a refund for the ticket in cash (otherwise they'll send you some rail vouchers.)

Should have told the conductor to get stuffed and to phone the police if felt it was really wrong. foresight is a wonderful thing. As other have said send there customer services an email.0
