Cash for gold -The big Rip off on TV

Options
Postal gold buyers are paying as little as 6% of its real worth.

The bbc have an article its ww.dont-post-your-gold.co.uk ( im not allowed to post links as of yet hence why you have to add a W )

Its worth reading if you thinking about sending gold items in the post who you have no history with. There are buyers who pay over £6

Or even better, go directly to the BBC web site and read it straight from the BBC

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/hi/the_p_word/newsid_10000000/newsid_10003300/10003337.stm

Much better than being fooled into going to the OPs web site.
  • Thanks

I got the link out of the local newspaper,
  • To be fair, scrap gold is always the worst price you can get. The best thing if the jewellery has any real value os to go to an auction house like Bonhams and get it valued.

i know why would people send of there gold to be told whats it worth in the first place, surely you can tell them over the phone and ask for a quote , even if it was just quoted for 9CT as least we would have a better idea.

    Just a thought

Chards of Blackpool are proper bullion dealers ... a world apart from the TV 'cash for old gold' scammers.

Anyway, since when did gold somehow become worth less when it became 'old'? Better chuck those crown jewels out ma'am.
