Possible unregistered user problem

I won an item a week last Sunday, waited until Tuesday to pay as i was waiting for a couple of my own items to sell so i would have funds in paypal account.
When i went to pay i noticed the seller was no longer a registered user but the item was still showing in items won. So i decided not to pay but thought it strange that Ebay hadn't informed me not to proceed with the transaction and that the item was still showing as live in my ebay.
Today when i went to pay for another item i noticed that the seller is now registered again.
So do i still have to pay for the original item which i no longer need as i bought it elsewhere due to the seller being unregistered.

Would suspect you do since fleabay didn't tell you not to proceed.
Really shoddy work on fleabay's part though.
You could email the seller and tell him that you assumed the deal was off when you went to pay and found him naru'd and see what his reaction is.0 -
As it was possibly a glitch in EBay's system & may not be the seller's fault I think you may have to go through with the purchase or risk a negative. It would be worth contacting the seller first & explain the situation, they may agree to offer it to the next highest bidder instead.0

It isn't unusual for a seller to be temporarily NARU'd due to some minor oversight. Unfortunately once they are reinstated it is possible for them to persue you through the NPB process and leave a neg if you don't pay.
I would contact them and explain the problem and see what they say.

I have emailed the seller but as yet have had no reply.0

Succesful conclusion, the seller agreed to go the mutual agreement route so she would get her FVC and i didn't get a strike.
Apparently her account had been hacked0
