Did it happen or did I dream of watching her on a sunny day on the steps of 10 downing street saying, that she was going to stop bank regulation and let them manage their affairs, and I'm sure her words were, banks know best how to manage their businesses.
And after a Tory policy like that, is it possible to come into power years later and say wow we will reverse this, any more than to reverse they-er police of selling off the railways. people can I'm sure add more. Were they not warned you are selling the family silver.
Or did I just dream it all.

If you can tell me the day, month, year that oil and gas is going to run out you may have a point?
More to the point the day the Ruskies decide whether we have heating or not.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. Why the Russkies, we import our gas from Norway and LNG from Qatar, nothing from Russia.
Are you ever going to get anything correct?

Last winter, the UK was left with only three days of reserves when foreign energy companies started exporting gas to supply their European customers after Russia cut supplies that used a pipeline through Ukraine.

Don't worry, Gordon Brown is paying £100 billion to some German and Japanese companies to build some wind turbines in the North Sea. Gordon's right about everything isn't he? I'm sure this will be as successful as his masterful handling of the public finances as Chancellor...0

If you extrapolate this logic then I am sure we can find some link to Japan, perhaps Outer Mongolia.
It is nothing to do with Russia but the fact that our energy providers are foriegn owned and will look after thier nationals in times of crisis. Of course if BP or British Gas did this I am sure they would be branded racist in this country for looking after poor british OAP's.0 -

Put a factual based argument forward to prove your point.
You should change your login to Spin and Soundbite with your current lack of facts.
Refer post 37, Russia ceases trading with Western Europe and UK supplies of Norwegian gas diverted via the connector to make up the shortfall. It is difficult to provide facts and figures about a possible future scenario that we have only experienced a taste of.
Mounting concerns about Britain's energy security came after Russia finally halted all shipments to Ukraine, accusing its neighbour of holding up all transit gas bound for continental Europe.
The European commission described the behaviour of Russia and Ukraine as "completely unacceptable" while the problems rekindled a long-running debate in the UK about the vulnerability of the country now that North Sea gas and oil supplies are running down fast.
And David Porter, chief executive of the Association of Electricity Producers, said it underlined the need for new coal-fired stations to keep the lights on. "New coal-fired stations can be built much sooner than new nuclear and they can help us to avoid power shortages as our ageing power stations close in the next few years," he said.
