Plum trees - where to find?
Options
Hi all. I have been looking everywhere for a plum tree to add to t my apple tree in the garden. I have found one but I am looking for victoria plums (for jam making). Am I looking at the wrong time? It seems I can find all the other fruits (even quinces) but no Victoria Plum. Any help appreciated:)

Hi,
last year I bought a plum tree from Focus DIY, it cost £10. Not sure if you have one near you?Yesterday is today's memories, tomorrow is today's dreams0 -

Great, thanks to you both. Have been looking mostly in garden centres (not very MSE). Unfortunately no morrisons local but a focus not too far. Will give it a go at the weekend. Hope yours are growing well!Where there is love there is forgiveness:smileyhea0

Not all Focus stores seem to have a garden centre bit so may be worth checking before you set out?
I have left my tree in the pot I bought it in and really need to plant it out soon actually!Yesterday is today's memories, tomorrow is today's dreams0 -

If you fancy a drive to the coast (still in Hampshire!) - we've loads growing wild on the half plot at the back of our allotment - I'm sure we could discretely nick one!
For anyone that wonders - the plot I'm talking of is unlikely to be let as it has some large trees on it, so I'm not suggesting taking from a future plot hirer! There's about 50 anyway......... :j:D:beer::eek::A:p:rotfl::cool::):(:T0 -

You beat me to it, I was going to suggest them too. I have their 'mini orchard' on order, expecting it this week, this includes a victoria plum, which you can order separately too, but I was looking to add a few fruit trees to my current selection and thought this looked a good deal for me.0 -
I bought some really good olive trees from seagravenurseries on the internet...I recall seeing plum trees at the time. I had a mature plum tree that gave fantastic crop, unfortunately it got diseased...had to chop it down , but they grow nicely as my neighbour planted one a few years back and its really taken off.0
