Hi everyone, I've been looking to change my gas and electric and Uswitch.com has said that Equidual from EBICo is the cheapest at the moment.
The thing is I dont want the price to shoot up once im signed in.
At the moment im with Npower for my gas and electric and im paying 13.56p
unit day rate and 8.99p night rate
On this new supplier, its 8.02p unit.
It also said that its run on "Christian Principles" so no profit is made and is undewritten by scottish and southern energy so all sounds good!!
If anyone has had experience of this supplier, please share your thoughts on them.
Thanks very much.

Ebico have not put up their prices since Sept 2005 and are reviwing them in September 2006.
It would seem reasonably to expect some reasonably significant rises despite all the good stuff you mention.
Personally I am holiding fire for another month or so.
They are not the cheapest for everyone and as you say you don't want to sign up and then find prices more expensive.
Givene that they haven't put up prices for a year and prices everywhere have risen a lot then "shoot up" is probably a good approximation of what Ebico prices are about to do.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but best you know.0 -
Thanks I think i'll hold on for now then. I'll look again after september.
The funny thing is im actually a meter reader for Npower but i dont rate their customer service at all. The amount of houses I go into and they are unsatisfied with the service is unbelievable!!0 -
Having a capped tariff with one provider doesn't stop you moving to another.Problem is you don't get the full benefit unless you go the full term.
EBICO price rises, so far, seem to come every 12 months, so capped in a way.
In this competitive market I would sooner stay free.0 -
