Has anyone been around one of these courses?
I've fancied going around one of these for a while now but don't know anyone who has been so would appreciate any comments.

Yeah beena few times. What do you need to know. Have you checked out the website?
It took me around 2 hours to go round, it's not all one part, you do one part and then you can wait for your group to catch up or take a breather. you do it yourself, not with someone from go-ape but they do show you what you're doing and don't let you go until you're sure.Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0 -
did go ape in thetford forest last year, there are a few round the country and i think they are all slightly different. I am not very fir and found it physically exhausting, it took me a couple of hours. enjoyed it though.]

We went at the weekend to the Chorley Rivington site. I was disappointed to be honest. We booked at short notice so paid full price of £30 each for the two of us as I didn't have time to look for vouchers/codes etc. The website said to allow 3 hours however failed to mention that the majority of this time is spent hanging around waiting for those in front of you. I was frozen and also pretty bored by the time we eventually got round the course. It wasn't as if the people in front of us were particularly slow so the blame lies at the feet of the go ape business model which allows large groups of up to 14 to go round at the same time
If we had gone for the slot first thing in the morning and been first in the queue I reckon it would have taken us about 1/2 an hour to 45 mins to complete it. It is pretty physical is some parts but not too enduring.
Basically if you can get it on a BOGOF then go for it but otherwise I wouldn't bother.0 -
I've been once and it was fantastic! There was a big group of us but we went round in small groups of around 7. It was pouring with rain but that made it all the more fun! Would definately go again!0

elliebobs mentioned codes....can you get offers for go ape? I paid full price, I would be very tempted to go soon if there were some codes lying round!0

You have to pay about £6 for parking at Thetford forest as well as the admission proce, because the sight is owned by the forestry comission not go ape. so take this into account when you are costing it0

The Woburn Go Ape is great. Best on a sunny day! Plus you have the safari as part of the complex.

My husband and I went to Whinlatter in the lake District!
Not for the faint hearted I can tell you.. this particular one is very high.. but I have never had so much fun in my life! It was absolutely brilliant and I would definitely go again..! I think it was well worth the money.
If it hasn't been so far off the ground it wouldn't have been so good though.. so check the heights as I know some aren't as high as others!
I'd try not to go when there would be lots of other people as there were only 10 on our course all together and it was annoying when we had to queue, so if it was packed it's be horrible!0
