Vince mentions that he warned of crisis AGAIN. seems to be a 50/50 split between journos here about whether they find this amusing or if it is just maybe a bit tooooo many mentions

Ask about helping people who work from home. Basically I'm in a position where I can work from home 100% of the time, but it would be nice if they could add an allowance for broadband, say £25 / month.

From what I've have read on the HMRC web site is that if you move into a new build house that does not have broadband, and you have broadband installed, you can claim for it, and this claim/ allowance stays with you, even if you move into another house that already has broadband.

For people that move into houses that already have broadband capabilities, you are not allowed to claim for this.

Cable wants smaller banks, Darling doesn't think it matters. What do you guys all think? It's a tough one

I think smaller banks are a good idea, so that we can cope with the small ripple effect of problems that would come from one of those going under, but if a big bank goes under and it takes other banks with it, not so manageable ad we end up in a mess again!

I think maybe Vince feels he can speak a bit more freely knowing full well he wont be in chrage of the purse strings.

Seems to be quite a general consensus both in here and on Twitter

He's in grave danger of coming across as a smug git. One trick ponies only entertain the first time round the ring.

Vince Cable summed up rather well, straight to the point and a nice jibe at the Tories with their banker friends!

I'm certainly looking forward to Adam Boulton's turn for Sky News, purely because I rate him quite highly when it comes to getting the information out of politicians. :D

Vince Cable is certainly stirring the crowd with a common person angle. :)
