Was there a cheap list day on 29th June?

Can anyone tell if there was some sort of listing promotion on the 29th of June this year? I'm just checking over my ebay fees and the way I've listed items suggests to me there should have been a promotion but I've been charged full price for all my listings.

If anyone can remember or received an email about it could you give me the rough details.

Thanks.

yes there was, it was the 5p BIN day with various restrictions:

The listing fees were charged in full with refunds being given for qualifying listings by the end of August. So your invoice will be showing the full monty at present.

If you didn't list your items as BIN (I think with immediate payment) they wouldn't have qualified for the promotion.

Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j

There were quite a few restrictions if I remember correctly, but yes it had to be a BIN with immediate payment required by paypal.

Thanks for that. I'll keep an eye out for refunds.

Why the hell can't they just charge the discounted rate in the first place? It seems to me they are banking on people missing one of the terms/conditions and not qualifying without realising it.

There is going to be a lot of people missing out on that offer day. I saw several listings with a BIN on an auction and wonder if the sellers thought they would qualify as they hadn't seen there is a different way of doing a BIN only. There was also some chat on the nochex forum where sellers had set up immediate payment, but diverted somehow to nochex, and that also won't have qualified.

Like you I prefer my discounted rate to be shown up front so I can double check what I am paying before I list.
