Hi all - Hope someone can help me
A year ago, TSB allowed me to go £24 overdrawn, (a week before my regular payday) i didnt know i had no money in there as they allowed me to spend this on my card ( i have no od facility) usually they would not allow this.Anyway a week later., they sent me a letter to say they were charging me about £130 for going overdrawn. (They allow £15 with no charge). I phoned them and said the money will be in there in a few days, i was told told the charges still stood, regardless, so i said i would have to find another bank account, which i did. After i had set a new account up (so nothing going in or out of LLyods Tsb) i went into the bank to sort it out, they said they couldnt talk to me about it, i had to call telephone banking, the said the opposite - i had to go into the bank. I have written 2 letters to head office, with no reply, plus an argument with a lady on the phone, who sad she would see me in court. I have had 2 debt collectors write to me, but it has now been given back to LLoyds TSB - I had a letter today saying they will take me to court. I need some advice on what to do - The amount NOW owing is £1829!!!!
Sorry about my grammar and spelling - i am in a rush on my way to uni - for a test.
Thanks for replying in advance .

Hi, just a quick reply... I recently had trouble with Lloyds and basically through the advise of a solicitor, went to my local MP. (conservative) he wrote to Lloyds and the account was passed back to Lloyds from an agency and they are working with me in order to resolve the problem... a costless idea perhaps...0

Write to them and tell them that you went into the branch(name it) and give them a chronological approach to this. Explain what you did and what was said and that you have written twice before. State that you are willing to pay x charges(I would suggest that the original amount is adequate) but no more and tell them that you want a final response letter to this. Use the word maladministration of your account(bad administration of the account), the harrassment by debt collectors and the frustration of not being allowed to sort this out within the first few weeks that you had and how the reputation of the bank significantly suffered in your eyes to the point in which you took your money elsewhere.0 -
