Leasehold Flat selling

Hi There,
A very stressful situation, I'm selling my Leasehold flat (the freeholder are noce neighbours and leave below me).
The buyer of my flat insists to meet the freeholder, but I'm stressed that anything can happen during that discussion and I could lose the sale.

Is that something legal that the buyer meet the freeholder beforehand?

What are my alternatives??

    If you refuse your buyer will probably pull out!! If I lived in the same buildings as the freeholder I would want to meet them too, nothing worse that a dispute with someone who has power over your finances AND is a neighbour.

    Agreed.

    What have you got to hide? That's what the buyer will think if you try to stop him.

    Anyway why do they need to even ask you if they can talk to the freeholder? If you are buying a flat in say a converted house with only say 2-4 flats I suggest that the buyer talks to a;ll the other flat owners to find out what they are like and to see if they have any comments about the way the building is maintained, what the freeholder is like etc. In this case knocking on one of the other doors would find the freeholder by accident anyway.
