Home Insurance No claims discount protection

I have the maximum in no claims discount on a house insurance. Is it really worth protecting it? It will cost me £ 70.00. I have never made a claim before. If I made a claim without the protection would my renewal got up by this much next year and of course I would lose some of my no claims? Is it worth it ...I can't decide help please

Do some virtual quotes online (with and without a claim) and see what difference a claim makes.0

Chances are with protected NCB they would increase your base premium following a claim to offset the fact you are entitled to a higher level of NCB discount!
I've never bothered with NCB for any insurance. If you have a claim and the renewal cost is too high go somewhere else.0
