Network Printing Issue

Hi all,
I am hoping you might be able to suggest methods of resolving an issue we are experiencing on one of the PCs owned by the charity I help out from time to time.
We have an Epson Stylus DX7450 installed on one of the PCs (running XP SP3) and shared via the wireless network to the other PCs in the office (all running Vista).
This has been working fine until last week when without warning, one of the PCs (only) is no longer able to print to this printer. If selecting File, Print in Word, the following message appears:
"The printer has not yet responded, but the Microsoft office program may be able to proceed without printer information. Do you want to continue to wait for the printer?"
All the other PCs are fine.
So far, I have:
1) Deinstalled and reinstalled the printer drivers
2) Checked the other PCs which all print fine
3) Restarted the "print server"
4) Checked the firewall settings on the PCs - file and print sharing is checked on all these.
5) Connected the printer direct - prints fine.
6) Googled the issue but without success.
I am really stuck now what else I can do.
Any thoughts? Thanks

You could try deleting the printer on the PC which is having issues and then re-add it.
Can that machine "see" any shared folders on the XP machine? I've had problems in the past where networking itself has just fouled up for no apparent reason. My usual solution to that is the delete the network card in device manager, let it be rediscovered (or maybe add it manually) and go through the process of setting the network up again on the failing PC.0 -
Try turning Background Printing off. I think this option is in the tools (or options) menu in Word.0

remove the printer, then re add it as a network printer, it should then install its own drivers and set itself back up0

Thanks for this, I will try your solution when I pop into the office after the Bank Holiday. I have deleted the printer and recreated it several times. I have also removed it, deinstalled the drivers and recreated it, but with no positive effect.
Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!
