Lost folder on ntlworld email

Hi

Did have some msg`s saved into a folder for my holiday- been into it today and they have all gone- any way I can get them back?

If I did a system resore would that do it?

Thanks- could really do with getting msges back

Which email client do you use? System restore doesn't help with deleted emails usually.

Ntlworld is webmail, so Sys Restore won't help if the folder was on there. If you really need to find the folder or messages, best thing to do is contact NTL cust services and ask them to retrieve them.

If, on the other hand, you were using Outlook to download the messages, then they should be stored on your PC unless you have deleted the folder. If it isn't in C:/Recycled, then you may have problems, but can try something like www.pcinspector.de to see if they are still available to view.

How do I access C:/Reecycled?

Sorry not much good with computers- they where in the folder last week- don`t know how it got deleted.

It means the recycle bin usually on your desktop

Ok, looked in it- does not seem to be there- what would it look like?

It's only really relevant if you use outlook or other email client. If you are just using webmail (using your web browser) and the folder you created was on webmail then you really need to contact ntl and ask them about it as the email would not have been on your computer in the first place unless you used an email client to download it.

Do not use outlook- do not like how it opens emails with out it asking me.

I have emailed ntl- but do not hold out much hope- they are not normally much good- only use them because I have an ntl phone line and don`t think I can use any other provider for broadband.

You might be surprised by NTL Cust services. I know there are lots of horror stories, but on the whole, I've found the individuals (the UK staff anyway) to be nothing but helpful, and happy to find things out if they don't know. If they can help, they will. As it stands, you don't have any other choice anyway, so keep all your fingers and other bits 'n' bobs crossed.
