Hi,
I recently placed my iPhone on ebay and it was won on Friday night. I have just received an email from PayPal saying that I have received funds from the buyer but it will only be credited when I send the items shipping number. My eBay page is showing the item as not paid for and there is no indication of any payment on my pay pal account page. Im a bit worried that this is a scam. The winning bidder only joined eBay on Friday night and he's been less than communicative. Has anyone else had this problem?

If the payment isn't showing on your paypal, then it hasn't been paid.

    Almost certainly a scamster.
Why does nobody say Thank You anymore??

Check on your paypal account directly. Sounds like a scammer so this may be useful

I have just got off hte phone with pay pal who confirm no transaction has been made. It didnt seem to be the nigerian scam as the address on the buyers account was in essex. Ive reported him to eBay and done a second chance offer to one of the other bidders. Some people will try anything!

Alarm bells were ringing when he made the bid as he only joined the day it was ending, still I gave him the benefit of the doubt and waited. Just had another email from him saying that I need to post it before 30th or my account may be blocked! Ha Ha. loser
