Sponsored a Primary School with Books PY Distribution

Keep getting phone calls off a very annoying chap who says i've kindly sponsered a primary school to have some books...which primary school do i want them to go to?.....don't recall having sponsored a primary school.....if i did it would be through my missis (primary school teacher)..anyway annoying guy sya hes from a company called py distribution....want give me a phone number or anything......1471 .... just come back with 01

Very quick google suggests this is an invoice scam.Once you agree they will chase you for the money mercilessly,according to a warning by ASA.Another poster on a forum suggests not to agree as they record your conversation and use this as part of the contract.Cant comment on that but,this particular company was not mentioned but a different one.Hope this little bit of info helps. look at the site called workplace law and search on fake invoice scam.Sounds like several similar companies doing this scam have been closed down-may be worth contacting the pc mentioned in the article to see who is currently dealing with these type of scammers.

I have found a reference to them in that article i think-PY Communications ltd? listed with companies house and a previous name of PY publications ltd.
