  • Just did a search and as you say apt transferring in and out instantly still counts as a credit! Yippee! That £15 a month will go a long way at the moment.

There's also good news for you on the faster payments front. Nationwide are now enabled, but you cannot send out more than £250 at one time. See http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=2344179&highlight=nationwide+faster+payments
  • Yay! Wow today has definitely brightened and it's only 12.15! Thank you!

I don't pay over £1000 into mine and I got told that it's fine and if I ever do then i'll get the money! I have two joint reward accounts... but I got told you can only have one and so if I ever pay in £1000 into both of them i'll only get one lot of the reward!

    That's rubbish!

I have 3 joint reward accounts and get £5 reward for each of them every month.

Ooh. Now that is an option. My rent doesn't go out until the end of the month so that's £500 which I could cycle about the three. Since even a transfer from another Halifax reward account counts as a credit I'm sure it would only take a week or so.

    Thanks!
You can do it in 1 login session
    £500 into A>B>C>A>B>C> out :)
  • Just did the in and out and in and out game with my three accounts and Nationwide using £250 and then had the happy surprise of remembering that it's not April yet so I'll shortly be receiving £15 for ten minutes of transfers! Faster payments is aymayzing. Thank you to everyone for your help!

Recently opened my two accounts, minor id faff but got there in the end. I bank with Santander who hate faster payments so my main haul of cash is too far away. I did credit each account with £100 for the debit card release though so upon reading this I spent a few minutes this morning shuffling this about. My statements on both accounts read that deposits have totalled in excess of £1000 so in theory I should net the two fivers.

My joint account is hovering somewhere in the Halifax ether otherwise I would've had an extra one. Next month I'll hopefully be banking with First Direct so I can faster payment out £1000 , cycled and back within four hours!
