you are making assumptions, it was NOT sent by the store!"! it was sent by my friend AS A GIFT!! I did not pay for the earring, she replaced it as it was my birthday present!!
the charges that were on the parcelforce letter are listed in my post above.
i'm not on mse to dispute nor argue. someone from parcelforce has sent me a private message which i will follow up on..
my advice to you is get FACTS And STOP !!!UMING!!
My advice to you is to not be so rude when people are going out of their way to help youVuja De - the feeling you'll be here later0 -
I had a similar thing happen to me a few years back. Ordered a $70 hoody from New York for Christmas and it arrived during the holidays with a £30 odd customs fee. I was mad at the time, mostly because I hadn't really thought about the prospect of incurring such a duty.
However, a nice man at HMRC told me that you really need to watch as anything over £19 can be susceptible to a charge. Was a pain at the time, but I've learned my lesson though and now i'm much more wary with what i order online internationally.
I think in future you might just need to be careful a bit more, as the impression I got was that the likelihood of getting any money back was slim to none. I think its just case of being unfortunate enough to be hit with the charge.Comping Fairy bring some luck my way! :dance:Love my Fiance Spiceboy :happyhear:iloveyou:0 -

different scenario
you ordered an item
this was a gift
it all depends on the rate of exchange and whether customs deem an item to be a true gift0 -
Aint hard to find... last place i would look is the ebay and selling/buying board if you want people to buy your story.
ask the company to write costume jewarly on next time
