What would be a reasonable offer?

Hi, I have seen a nice 2-bed flat,which was originally priced at £180 k. After 2 months on the market they have dropped the price to £170k. I understand from the agent that the vendor is keen to sell and that they have had not much interest from buyers as the flat needs some work to be done. It needs a new kitchen, bathroom, carpets and decorating. Everything else seems ok. Considering the fact that they have already dropped the price by £10k, what amount do you think would be a reasonable offer? I think the work on the flat would cost about £5k. Thanks for any good advice:).

    It is hard to tell the price. Because as we all know, if something is great need, it will be a little more expensive. Since the price has gone done, it may rise up. So if you really need it and find that suits you well and your budget is enough to purchase one. So you'd better go for it and don't let others get it ahead of you. Price is an important factor but should never be the key factor.

    155-160, dont go above what value you have set yourself
  • If your topline is £160k put an offer in for £155k.
    They can only say no.
    If the flat is not getting much interest and is empty i'm sure they would consider droppng the price for a quck and easy transaction.

    I would wait with all these falling prices, may be see what happens with a 150k offer
