This morning my Candy fridge appears to have stopped working and it is only 15 months old! It is out of warranty so do I have any rights at all? It seems not fit for purpose! Thoughts please?

Use the search facility - "sale of goods act" or "SOGA" will be a good start.0

You can claim against the retailer under the Sales of Goods Act, but it's up to you to prove that the product was inherently faulty. The Consumer Direct website is a good place to start - http://www.consumerdirect.gov.uk/after_you_buy/know-your-rights/SGAknowyourrights/
If you bought the fridge using a credit card, or using any form of credit agreement, the credit company will be jointly liable, so if for any reason you can't persue the retailer, you can pursue the credit company instead.0 -
Get an indepedent engineer to diagnose the fault and produce a report.
If they deem the fault to be down to poor manufacturing then you can pursue them under SOGA. I think most people would agree a fridge should last longer than 15 months.
Good luck.0
