you clearly don't know what you are talking about, UV Sterilization is used all over the world. Bottled water in asia is almost always UV'd.
Personally, I don't feel the need to sterilize my toothbrush. I also don't feel the need to add fabric softener to my washing machine, but that doesn't mean that Lenor Frabric Softener is "Snake oil"!!

I know that UV can be used to sterilise water, but that's different from the bacterial loading you get on your toothbrush.
Your toothbrush is not exactly lethally loaded bug-pits ....since they only real place they could come from would be your mouth, in which case you'd be dead already??
So two simple questions...what exactly would it be protecting you from, and who needs one of these [even the immuno-compromised posters have said it's not for them]??
