Exercycle Feed in tariff
Options
I hear that in the far east there are department stores where you can generate electricity by riding an exercycle, and get paid in loyalty points, which convert into vouchers for spending.
Does this count as renewable energy and count towards the Feed In Tariff? It should be a lot easier and cheaper to install than PV solar panels.
Get fit AND make money. I think I should open a chain of gyms called Power Stations. All the gym equipment will have water pumps, so nobody get electrocuted. The pumped water drives a turbine in view of the members. Feed In Tariff please. I suppose productive galley slaves should get a discount on membership.

You could be onto a winner there.....I'd be quick and get it patented if I was you! Or even better still, get X amount of hours on the bikes instead of ASBO/community service...hmmm can see a win-win there as well.0

What about PE lessons? With all the cuts in public services, the pupils can help the school by generating electricity to light their class rooms.
Every class takes a turn, so it should be about one hour per class a week. Young people need more exercise, so they keep telling us.
It will also keep them warm, since the school won't be able to afford heating any more. They can make the cycles in Metal Work, extra credits.0
