Need advice on transfering money to solicitors

can anyone help

Am I able to pay the deposit to my solicitors via debit card, the funds are

in our account ready to go and saves me having to go to the bank to do a

CHAPS payment ????

    Only if they have the functionality. And depends what timescales you have. If it HAS to arrive same day, then CHAPS.
    Ring them in the morning.

    CHAPS, unless you have the same bank as you solicitor you can pay over a counter using you debit card to pay to his account. The money will be credited to your solicitor's a/c same day, this will save £25 for CHAPS. I did same with Barclays, but because they could not do it over a counter, I got CHAPS free of charge. Good luck!

    I had my money in a Halifax Savings Account. They issued a bankers draft FOC that my solicitor accepted.
