in Credit cards
I had a balance of just under £310 on my credit card and the minimum payment date was 22 July. I paid £20 on the 30 June and paid the rest off on 25 July.
The card statement came through today and I found that I had been charged £5 interest even though I had paid the balance off. I didn't pay off the card the previous month.
The question I have is should I always clear the card by the minimum payment date?

Yes, if you do not pay the full amount by the due date then you will be charged interest from the day the purchases were made (i.e. you lose your interest free period).kevtrader wrote:The question I have is should I always clear the card by the minimum payment date?0
