Hi,
I am thinking of signing up for this service, but noticed that it is a 12 month contract. Does anyone know what would happen if you moved house? Could you terminate the contract early or would there be any penalties payable?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Are you sure its 12 months. They told me over phone its 6 months but I dont get line rental with them0

But it is the line rental from them that I want.0

I could be wrong but if you move and use same service it could be free, give them a ring0

Do Primus offer a Home Mover Service is a question your need to ask them.
They say
"What are the leaving fees?
If you choose to leave the Home Phone service, you must give 30 days written notice and are responsible for paying an amount equal to the fixed monthly Primus Home Phone package fee (for Carrier Pre Select and Line Rental) for each of the remaining months of the contract which would have been paid by you if the contract had been completed"

Whilst their line rental might be cheaper. They charge for caller display. Their call bundles dont include 0845/0870 calls. Calls to mobiles can be expensive, and if you leave early their penalty for doing so is higher then BT,s.0 -
OTOH, Primus has given Martin a written guarantee that they will allow access to the likes of 1899, 18185 and 18866 "at least until the end of 2010" (that has an uncomfortable ring to it IMHO).Whilst their line rental might be cheaper. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
i switched over to primus line rental and upgraded my bb from 1mb to 8mb although i only get around 4mb, which costs around £23 per month , the bb is i believe unlimited , i have 2 daughters who are constantly watching tv shows , music etc and i have never been told i 've exceeded any limits ,0

It's not 8Mbps, it's up to 8Mbps. If 4 Mbps is the maximum your line can support, then that is the most you will get.No free lunch, and no free laptop

I thought you were complaining that you ordered 8Mbps, but were only getting 4Mbps?No free lunch, and no free laptop

no , i realised that unless you have an exchange in your back garden then you're unlikely to get anywhere near 8mbs , however i have 2 daughters who are seem to be permanently youtube or watching catch up tv so i wanted an unlimited package , as my exchange is not unbundled there was nothing that could match that price for unlimited use ,0
