Buyers Paying More Than Item Is Worth!!

I have just sold an item on ebay and the amount it went for baffled me.
It is a used box set that retails brand new for £9.99 on play and amazon and they both offer free p&p.
My USED item has just sold for almost £12.00 plus £1.00 p&p. Happy obviously :j
Why do buyers so this? I would never buy a used item when i could get the brand new version for cheaper.
Had the buyer not already paid i would have thought they were going to be a non-payer.
Totally baffles me does this!!!

I think that just proves the point that so many people don't shop around - and they presume (sometimes wrongly) that certain options (i.e. eBay) will be cheaper. Or they think they can just go to eBay, type in what they want and BAM! I think all those aspects appeal to people to be honest.
Not bad for you the seller though! On the up

I must say i never buy anything on ebay without googling it first to see how the price compares elsewhere. This never take very long especially if its a DVD etc.
Totally crazy but there you go. I'm happy as long as they pay.0 -
My OH always goes to e-bay first - I have to tear the computer from his hands before he pushes the button so I can find it cheaper for him.
If you think you are too small to make a difference, try getting in bed with a mosquito!0 -
im trying to get a 'next little diggers' border for my sons room. You cant buy them in next anymore, I was watching 5 diff. auctions for them today, they were £8 to buy new from next, all went for over £20 today!
i just cannot bring myself to spend that much on a border!0 -

I've seen a lot of auctions where the seller has put a low BIN price and low start price. Then people have started bidding - making the final price two or three times the BIN price:rotfl:I must say i never buy anything on ebay without googling it first to see how the price compares elsewhere. Something you have to remember that a lot of people don't see paypal money as actual cash, also sometimes people won't send it through to their bank (i.e. if they're on benefits) so they're happy to pay over the odds.Did you know you can get Viagra software now??? Yeah, it turns your floppy drive into a hard drive
