help needed about searches and timelines

our solicitor wants to charge us 200 pounds for searches..the problem is they are already on the hips...but the hips is 2 years old ..the house is in a place where no more can be built ect ect......would we be wasting our money on these searches as they have been looked into in the recent past.....we are off to the solicitors in the morning hence i am posting in main forum..thanks all.....cash purchase

Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.

My solicitor said I would may be need new searches if they were over 6 months old, but this was only if the mortgage lender needed them. I'd question if they were needed too. But as already said it might help in the future but i'd have though if you were going to sell in the future you would do a HIP's pack and searches at that time. Id question the solicitor more tomorrow. Good Luck. x0
