Stick on tiles

Has anyone tried stick and go tiles?
Going to be selling flat in next few months and need quick fix to make kitchen tiles look bit fresher and up to date that doesn't involve re-tiling.

We've just done a quick-fix on our kitchen and I painted our cruddy patterned tiles with Ronseal white tile paint. It was pretty tricky but I made sure I had plenty of time and followed the instructions to the letter. I needed to do 2 coats.

It looks absolutely brilliant, everyone thinks we've re-tiled and I wish I'd done it years ago.

I couldn't disagree more. The OPs buyer can worry about retiling. Cheap tiles look cheap and the OP has to spend his own time tiling or have the expense of someone coming in to tile. The brief is 'quick fix' and that's precisely what tile paint is.

  • Thanks for your help. It really is a quick fix that is needed as my Sister wants / needs to do in weekend as lives 500 miles away now. Dad and Brother going to help but very big list of things that need done.
The painted tiles look really good but the tiles in question are not smooth so don't know if it will work as well.

Silly question, but does the tile paint cover coloured tiles?

1 in 5 tiles in my otherwise white tiled kitched is dark green. No idea why you would do that ;)

I reckon it would - we had a 'frieze' of blue and pink patterned tiles among our plain blue-grey ones and its covered it fine. Probably need a couple of coats.
