Can I legally sell a Vista Home Premium license sticker?

I have bought a new Acer laptop with Vista Home Premium, including the MS sticker on the base that details the Proof of License and Product Key.
I have also bought Windows7, a full version not an upgrade.
I have removed Vista completely and I am only using 7.
I don’t have a Vista install CD, all I have is the license sticker. I didn't bother making a recovery CD from the hidden partition on the Acer laptop as I plan to use 7 only and not bother with Vista.
Does this sticker have any value and could I legally sell it?
Would anyone buy it as I am selling a sticker only? I do realise most people would want a CD.
It might be useful to someone who has an illegal copy of Vista and wishes to legitimise it.
If I could get £10 or £20 or so I would sell it on ebay, if that is allowed.
Thanks

I don't believe so, although I'm rubbish with Microsoft laws as I never pay attention to them to be honest. Far too boring to read
I don't think it would be allowed unless you sold the PC with it as Microsoft Policies you have to give some hardware with the item you sell aswell (or that could be eBay can't remember
)
I'm sure one of the gurus on here will know

if the laptop had ever been connected to the internet while vista was installed, then it is licensed to the laptop so my answer would be, you cannot use it on another machine0
-
and surely the key answer is who on earth would want to buy it0
-
is an oem install , the license is only valid for that machine (they've also tightened their terms and conditions , even a change of motherboard now requires you to buy a new copy)Ex forum ambassador

You can use Vista keys to activate Windows 7 installs, my friend tried this, and it worked. Now has 1 copy of Win 7 on 2 machines, both legally activated.Never Knowingly Understood.

I did mention that in my OP but in truth, people will buy almost anything.and surely the key answer is who on earth would want to buy it
I've sold loads of stuff on Ebay over the last few years, often for silly high prices.
Tonight I sold two VHS video recorders for about £30 each plus £10 postage. They are high spec S-VHS machines, top of the range in their day and in very good condition, but I still only expected to get £10 to £15 each for them. I haven't used them for many years and I should have sold them ages ago.
Last week I sold my failed 6 year old Dell laptop for £50. I had removed the memory and hard disk and listed it for spares and repairs. The buyer was delighted and left me glowing feedback.
I might take a punt and list that sticker for £10 next time there is a free listing day and see what happens. I am always scrupulously honest and detailed in my listings and make it very clear what I am selling.
I bet someone buys it and I bet they will be happy with it.
There is a market for everything.

It's the equivalent of buying a receipt.

Not for OEM editions, no.0

Correct - OEM editions are for the machine they were supplied with only. As MS phrase it they "live and die with the PC or server". As for whether you can activate them twice, maybe you can, but that doesn't make it legal. A lot of Microsoft licensing policies are not enforced at a technical level, that is they will allow the activation but you're still in breach of the license.0
