When I try to open Turbo Lister I get a message saying:
The application has failed to start because it's side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log for more detail.
I have no idea what that means or how to view the application event log.
Can anyone help please?

Turbo Lister log files are located on your hard drive (typically at C:\Program Files\eBay\Turbo Lister2). (From http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/turbo-lister-troubleshooting.html )0

Thanks, I didn't realise but somehow I'd already looked there. It doesn't seem to tell me much - or maybe I just don't know what I'm looking for!
Should I be contacting Ebay for help next?

Seems there is a problem with oter machines too.

It's probably worth uninstalling Turbolister then rebooting and installing it again. Just make sure you export all of your listings to a file first, just in case doing so wipes your database!0 -
Thanks, I tried uninstalling it before posting but I get a window saying:
InstallDriver Module has stopped working.
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
Apparently - there isn't!

OK, I presume you're running Vista? Maybe XP?
Try right-clicking on the setup file and selecting 'Run as administrator'.
You may still get the error message but the setup might continue.0 -
If that doesn't work (having carried out a wee bit of research as i haven't come across this before!) you could try reinstalling a microsoft redistributable package for the C++ programming language which TurboLister was developed with.
It can be downloaded at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=32bc1bee-a3f9-4c13-9c99-220b62a191ee&displaylang=en
It's worth rebooting once that's done to make sure the updated files re-loaded before trying to uninstall again.

Yep, I'm on Vista.
Tried both those ideas but neither has worked.
A bit like the update on your last post Slartibardfast, this laptop would go out the window now if I was sure it wouldn't hit anybody (and I didn't need it so much).

Lol!
I'm sure that the installshield installation has somehow been corrupted on your machine. I have found some information here on how to repair it (although it is a bit longwinded!)

Give these steps a try and let me kowhow you get on.0 -
Blimey! Just took a look - think I'll have to come back to it tomorrow after work.
Thanks for your help, I'll let you know what happens

Just a quick update. I tried the link you gave me Slarti but it was a bit beyond my technical capabilities lol.
So, I tried downloading Turbo Lister again and that seems to have worked.
Thanks for your help
