could someone explain the difference in the trial version please
its a newish sony vaio and already installed microsoft office
it says microsoft office 60 day trial online
however theres also microsoft office excel 2007 home and student edition
i assume these are the same or linked.
i think i only need office for some spreadsheets and if it is only the trial version i have-
what limitations would i expect to have once the trial is over?
will i still be able to edit/ use the spreadsheets? or would i have to purchase it once the trial is over?
cheers:beer:

  • As you Have Home and Student edtion, you'll retain Word, Excel Powerpoint and Onenote.

The 60 day trial is to give you an opportunity to try the other applications in the office suite.

It's just a Microsoft marketing ploy to try and get people to upgrade to the full version of office.

just registered it but when excel opens up it says trial on it
im assuming ive only got the trial version or will i keep excel?
    thanks
  • If you have the license key for home and student, you'll be fine (ie if it's a properly installed full version of home and student). If not you'll need to purchase a license for it.

Probably be best to un-install the trial, then install the Home and Student version.
    Move along, nothing to see.
