    Hello everyone,

So sorry, i couldn't get on here last night to tell!!

Well its all sorted thank god!! The lady as i expected couldn't remember anything at all about Saturday night!! She accepted what everyone told her happened and was very sorry. She said it was totally out of character. I was just straight with her and said i couldn't risk any trouble like that happening at my wedding and she said she totally understood and would politely decline my invitation!! I'm so glad she was ok about it and i feel so much better now. In fact i feel really sorry for her as it was her husband who was the real problem. All my other colleagues are very relieved too. I think we will still have a good working relationship so all good i think.

Thank you all again so much, your replies helped me loads with what to say!!

Well done you for being honest about it, I think you have done the right thing although I do feel a little sorry for your colleague. She must be ever so embarassed of what you all told her about OHs behaviour. It sounds like she took it well though so I would repect that completely. Maybe it will turn a light bulb on and help her to see her husband for what he is .... then again, maybe not!!!

Excellent :) I'm having a dilemia about our evening invites. As were having no kids in the day were saying all kids are welcome in the evening as we get on with our friends kids wondefully!

But we have one friend who's kids are terrible! The eldest gets arrested at least once a week and is known for stealing off everyone in sight. The 2 middle kids are stupidly hobby and rude to everyone, and the youngest is 9 going on 18 and if she doesn't like the sight of someone will tell them 'your fat/ugly etc go **** yourself'

how do I not invite her kids?? Lol

Are you actually putting on the invite that kids are welcome in the evening?? If not, then just address the evening invite to the parents and do not state the kids. Apart from that or being honest, not really sure what else you could do.

Have sympathy though, these things are not easy.

    Jilly, am glad it's sorted
