I dont have my NUS card with me ATM, so the above Ipod prices are the individual education prices, can someone please log onto the Apple education site and get all the full discounted prices for the Ipod's, post me a PM and ill update the thread. The macbook prices are the fully discounted ones (from the other thread). Also if someone can research which Ipod would return the best value in order to get the best deal on a macbook alone (most of us have ipods?).

Can we get Quidco 3% cashback along with the NUS login on the apple store?

  • As for the real post... Thats a very very good offer dale but I dont think it will benefit students much as Mac's are a LOT more expensive than laptops to start off with.. thus not really moneysaving?

MercilessKiller - I disagree, you couldnt get a better value system for your money. There are not many Intel Duo Core laptops with the same build quality, high product spec, good warrenty and backend support, same portability (which is what a student needs, to and back from uni every other day).

Plus at the price of £585.55 ish...(3% quidco cashback an extra bonus?)

The only thing I can pick at it is the graphics CPU.. but then students shouldnt be playing games :) = failing degree. If you want games go for the Macbook Pro... but you will need your loan :)

I agree it is fantastic value.

But when a student needs to buy a laptop/pc for work and work only (with a few downlads).. i would never recommend a mac.

When a normal person wants to buy a good system, then ok it can be considered, but i don't think it is a good affordable option for students.

    POSSIBLE EXTRA BONUS!
Does anyone know if the new UK student Ipod offer can be used together with the £60 printer rebate (also launched today)?

    Student Ipod Rebate Offer: http://store.apple.com/Apple/WebObjects/ukstore.woa/1074040/wo/FP7NOU1WRxSd2mlzikHV8XIH718/0.PSLID?mco=2659F7E2&nclm=bts2006cons

    Printer Rebate: http://www.apple.com/uk/promo/perfectcompanion

"Can this offer be combined with other promotions?

This offer is valid with Apple-sponsored promotions that specifically include this offer in their Terms and Conditions. The rebate requests must be submitted together in the same envelope to qualify."

*Extract from the Ipod offer FAQ.

    Found the Printer rebate form:

    http://store.apple.com/Catalog/uk/Images/perfectcompanion2006.pdf

It states that this can be used in conjunction with the Apple Individual Education discount, but not the full student discount? and doesnt mention the Ipod offer.

Why not? A Mac has better resell value, lasts for longer and build quality is better. If you get an equivalent PC, it will be about the same price and the resell value is less, that's not moneysaving!
